What Happened
Turkey came into this match knowing that a defeat to Paraguay would almost certainly end their tournament. Having lost 2-0 to Australia on Matchday 1 — conceding early goals and never recovering — they needed a performance.
Paraguay, meanwhile, had been humbled 4-1 by USA on the opening day. They needed a response. They produced one.
